About Me

Hello my name is Stephanie and I am a Person Centred Counsellor. From an early age, I found myself drawn to understanding the human experience-how people think, feel, and navigate life's complexities. My curiosity about human behaviour grew stronger as I observed the challenges faced by those around me, including loved ones who struggled with mental health issues. It was during these moments of vulnerability and connection that I realised the profound impact of simply being there for someone and listening with empathy.

This realisation inspired me to pursue a path where I could make a difference by supporting others through their struggles. I chose counselling because it aligns with my deep commitment to fostering emotional growth and resilience in others. The opportunity to create a safe, non judgemental space where individuals can explore feelings, and challenges is both humbling and rewarding.

My own experience with adversity has further fueled my passion for this work. I know firsthand the value of having someone who listens without judgement, who helps you uncover your strengths and navigate your way forward. These experiences taught me that healing and growth are not linear but are possible with the right support and tools.

Becoming a counsellor has also allowed me combine my natural inclination to help others with my belief in the power of human connection. Through formal training and practice, I have developed the skills to guide individuals toward self- awareness clarity and empowerment . I am committed to lifelong learning and growth knowing that each client brings a unique story and perspective that deepens my understanding of the human condition.

Ultimately, I became a counsellor because I believe everyone deserves to be heard, understood, and supported. My goal is to walk alongside my clients on their journey towards healing, offering compassion and guidance as they uncover their inner strengths and potential. This work is more than a career- it is a calling that fulfills me everyday.
